We received the following email on 1/18/2008
from a missionary in Italy.
This morning I went to see the Orthopedic Doctor and
the only thing he did was to prescribe for me a MRI. As I called the
various Hospitals in the province I found out that the closest date
for me to have one will be April 8th! Unfortunately, I don't know why
but they say that they usually do them for people who are recovered in
the Hospitals, so they suggested that I try to go to the hospital and
get a bed there but there are no beds available. You should have been
there this morning! ...Unbelievable!!! :-) The other suggestion would
be a TAC, which I could have it done in a week to ten days, but I want
to be sure that it will be just as good.
I will see my family doctor on Monday, so for now I
can't decide anything. I am feeling quite well, but the pain is not
totally gone, so I would still like to have them tell me exactly what
it is that is bothering me. So, I guess you have to continue to pray
for me for a little longer, but I know that
God is in control and nothing will happen without His permission.
